Friday Night Fights: Crashh!!
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present the most relaxed gang of robbers-slash-murderers in the Marvel Universe.

Seriously. The driver's kicked back with a smoke, and John Oates in the back looks like he's about to fall asleep, muttering (admittedly weak) insults at his friends all the while.

Fortunately, this is the sort of thing that happens to lazy robbers in the Marvel Universe...

... Silver Sable shows up and puts them in traction for the rest of their lives.

And that's why the 80s was Spacebooger's favorite decade.

From Amazing Spider-Man #279, by Tom Defalco and Rick Leonardi.

I love this Sinister Syndicate two-parter, one of the prides of my collection. Silver Sable should ALWAYS have short 1978 Debbie Harry hair and not that 90s Amazon monstrosity they gave her. However, the manoeuvre as depicted above is simply physically impossible, even for comics. Even DITKO couldn't have drawn this in a way that was possible, that's how impossible it is. Plus, is it my imagination, or does the driver in panel 2 already look like he's been kicked in the face through a windshield at least four times previously?

I remember even as a kid thinking, "Yeah, but her legs... and they wouldn't be able to... but how did she bend...?"

I have since learned never to question Rick Leonardi.

Because he smashed through your window in kicked you in the face?

I actually never realised that was Leonardi, I've always just assumed it was still Ron Frenz on those issues. I'll have to go refresh my memory. I mostly recall Leonardi from Cloak & Dagger with Bill Mantlo, the art on that series was *gorgeous*...

This issue was a fill-in. Frenz was still the regular ASM artist at the time.
